June meeting for Villages Networking

Maybe you have seen those little white boxes filled in with funny black symbols and blocks? They're showing up on the back of your favorite products, in print and on marketing materials. Well, those little boxes are called QR codes and they are rapidly becoming a huge tool to bridge the world of marketing to consumer action.



So how does this all work? Simply put, QR Codes are a language of sorts that can be read by QR Decoders or Scanners through an app and camera on smart phones and other smart devices. The language is "decoded" and turned into websites, pictures, phone numbers, text, Facebook profiles and much more.

QR codes save time! Your potential clients no longer have to remember long website addresses, write down phone numbers or manually add you to their contact list. One scan and it's done! You've not only saved them time, which they should be grateful for but, they are more likely to become customers if you encourage immediate action. According to Corey Rudl sales can increase up to 80% with a call to action.

The library is on the corner of 466A and Powell Road. 466A travels east and west. Powell road is south or 466A and 462 is north of 466A. Those 3 roads intersect.

the library is in the large complex at the corner. The building has a beautiful bronze dome on top.

1st Meeting for The Villagers Blog

Yesterday was our first meeting for The Villagers Blog! We were given some GREAT information from an AWESOME instructor, Danna Crawford, on blogging! There weren't as many people there that signed up for it, but for the ones that did, it was a pleasure meeting you all! Hope to meet more people at our next months meeting on April 29th from 12:00 to 3:00pm. room 102 at the Villages Public Library at Pinellas Plaza, Wildwood, Fl. So, Join us by joining The Villagers Blog team, and then attend our meeting in April!

I LEARNED SO MUCH!

Who would have ever thought I'd blog? But I have to tell you after hearing Danna's presentation yesterday with all the tips and techniques she provided it sounds so interesting I'm going to give it a try! Anyone else from our meeting willing to give it a shot ? FUN FUN FUN!

One thing I didn't mention when I was showing my website at PowerSellingMom.com was that I only turned it into a wordpress blog a few months ago. It was originally a standard website, hosted at GoDaddy since 2007. I've spent several years marketing my site and after learning about the power of blogging I finally made the move to transform it into  wordpress blog website.
